Events & Festival Catering

Based at The Castle Inn, Spofforth

You will be a hands-on, enthusiastic chef looking to join an expanding team.

This role will give you responsibility for delivering a range of cuisines so you need experience of multiple cooking methods. And in addition to being hugely professional, you will also want to have fun.

You will use one of our two large pub kitchens to manage the preparation of event menus. Food development meetings will normally take place at The Castle Inn, Spofforth. During event down-time, you will play a critical role as part of our Pub Kitchen Team.



  • Willing to get stuck-in and be part of the planning, set-up and pack down of all events (both internal and external)

  • Able to motivate and support a hard working team

  • Great attention to detail and a creative problem-solver


Required Experience:

  • Proven volume catering within a comparable event or catering businesses

  • Knowledge and experience of managing food safety and hygiene

  • Proven experience of supplier ordering and volume control

  • Proven ability to train and develop junior team members including pub kitchen and FOH staff
